Z1s doesn't recognize SD card

I bought this phone last night and there is nothing I can do to get it to recognize a simple SanDisk 8GB SD card. The card is recognized in my Mac, I have even done a reformat and it still doesn't even recognize its there. Has anyone figured out a solution to this problem?

Is it formatted in the Fat32 format and in Settings - Storage there is an option if highlighted to mount SD card this makes the card read and writable not just visible

It is Fat32 and unfortunately once it is inserted, it still doesn't recognize it. Once again, I took it out and reinserted into Mac and it shows fine.

I read the other thread that was posted, but I am new to these types of issues so maybe I missed something that would help me in this instance.

Dear all,

i had the same issue a few days ago with my new Xperia Z1.

I solved it by resetting my phone ( restart ) and then insert my sd card again.

Go figure! After all that, the solution was to restart the phone with the SD card inside.
