Low quality images with xperia Z1

Hi,
I recently got the z1phone which I've been excited about. However, I have been a little suprised at the quality of my images considering the 20mp camera. The photos are just basic, sometimes pale, the front camera is very blurry for 8mp. I had to take off the phone protectors to ensure the camera wasnt obstructed but that didn't help.
Also when I try using any image on say bbm, the moment I save it as a Dp, it becomes very blurry which has become an embarrassment.
Please advise asap.

Try turning on image stabiliser when in manual 20mp mode. There's anti image blur scene in lower mp count as well as image stabiliser.

Still the camera pic are noicy even after the update to .136.. Very disspointed from Sony...
