when calling I can't hear person on other end and they can't hear me either

I just bought the new Xperia Z1 yesterday but only tried to make a call today... The call connects fine and I can answer a call fine also but neither person can hear the other. Can someone help? Is their a setting that I need to check? Thanks x

See if slow talk or mic noise suppression is enabled in call options.Disable them.
