Starting your device for the first time

Hi everyone,

I have just become a lucky owner of Z1 Compact, and, well, joined the club. What a fast and smooth phone experience! Amazing!

But there is one thing that has been bothering me now.

I know it might sound silly, but instructions state the following:

- Make sure that the battery is charged for at least 30 minutes before you turn on the device for the first time.

Unfortunately for me I have missed this point.

I did not charge it first, but started using it straight out of the box. It had 50% charge left. So, why is this so important then?

I was thinking it might be related to the charge being lost while phone is in store and inactive, and thus not to scare off the new owners if there has been a complete discharge (if possible of course).

Does this somehow impact overall battery performance\life as well?

Thanks,
Ed

There is no problem, that is recommended,it does not mean that it will affect the battery life. However, you could have connected to wall socket right after you turned on the phone.
