Copying contacts list to a spreadsheet - Xperia Z

Is there a way of copying the contacts list from the phone to a spreadsheet? I've backed up the phone but wondered if it's possible to make a 'hard copy' (rather than manually writing them all down!).

I've tried opening the list in MS Word/Wordpad/Notepad/Excel but it displays a list of gobbledygook.

Try with myphone explorer,see if you manage to export them to a txt maybe.
