Hi Sony Team,

I own both of types of these phones, (XZ & Premium) I have found them to be laggy and freezing up. Whats the go? I ultimately love the phone and they way they work, up until I have to reset the phone basically daily.

I find it is usually after a full charge that at about 90% battery that they begin to start to freeze up.

This is the case with both the standard charger and a generic branded charger.

I would not consider my usuage to be "out of the normal" facebook and a few phone calls, txt messages and reading a few emails.

I have noticed that it makes no difference if I leave the apps running in the background or if they are closed.

It seems to be freezing only once it's come off charge.

Is there any suggestions for both of these devices?

That's very unusual; these are the fastest Android phones out. Are you sure you haven't enabled power savings? Try going to Settings > Battery > Stamina Mode > turn the slider at the top off.

I have checked all this, I agree they are very fast phones - sometimes!

I know I am not the only one, My partner owns an XZ - Similar issues, Boss also has the Premium - Same issues.

All these phones ran perfect until they recieved there updates, since then it's been a slow sprial.

But the common theme is usually after a 10% drop in power from full charge, they become confussed and freeze up and need a reset.

Don't get me wrong I love the phone, but it's a teething issue with the XZ range

That's really odd. This is my second Xperia (after the Z5 Premium), and both phones were really fast and fluid. I had a few lockups with the Z5, but it was very infrequent and was fine after a restart. Haven't had any such issues with the XZ Premium. The only time I get some dropped frames is when Stamina mode is enabled, or in certain apps like FB Messenger (especially when sending photos), which seems to be an app issue. My phone currently hasn't been restarted in 2 weeks and 12 hours and it isn't lagging at all.

I hope you can figure it out.

Oh, and if it helps, my phone still hasn't received the newest firmware for some reason. I'm still on 45.0.A.5.1
