I got my new phone yesterday. I did an update, and then get a message to confirm it was installed successfully, then 2 minutes later phone says I need to do a system update, this has now happened 6 times-please help
I think thats normal.
When I got my phone the same thing was happening. Apperently all the updates that sony released for this phone over time (Id say aboit one update per month) are being installed one after the other, until the most current one is done.
Someone once wrote in the forums that you can connect the phone to the pc, start xperia companion, and do a software repair. That installs the most current software at once, but you loose all data!
Hi @Pink40
Welcome to the community!
As @tom-xperiaz1 it is normal for you to receive a lot of updates when the phone is new, once everything is update to the current available versions this will slow down.
Also, as advised you can connect the handset to a PC using Xperia Companion if you believe there is an issue or the update notifications don't seem to be slowing down.
Performing a software repair will wipe the device, so if you have loaded all your info on already, make sure you back up before performing the software repair
