Vaio Z11VN Option 3G modem not working under Ubuntu

Hi,

This relates to using the internal 3G module under Ubuntu 8.10.

The Option 3G module has been initialsed as an NDIS unit on shipping. How do we normalise it so it appears as a /TTY/USBx. If not, could we have some advice please? I'm trying to use it with a Vodofone E172 3G modem when fitted internaly.

Of course there is no official solution for this problem, but it seems like people are disccusion all problems expected the 3g card.

I have doubts whether the VodafoneMobileConnectcardServiveforLinux has a better hardware recognation than red heads network-applet (that one in your gnome panel)

But anyway you may post a bug on lauchnpad for the not working feature.
