recovery tool missing

Hi all,

I had a trojan virus recently infect my vaio vgn a115z. I subsequently - with the recovery disc- got the system back to original settings. Now I have updated all the softwares etc and wanted to make a recovery disc.
However I note that there is no recovery tool. When I click on Start >> all programmes - cannot find the recovery tool!!!!

Where do I go from here on?

By the way=== I have uninstalled teh vaio media player--- do you think thats the problem???

Hi softy612,

The full recovery should reinstall the VAIO Recovery Tool.

Unfortunately the Recovery Tool is not downloadable and cannot be installed except by another full system recovery.

Perhaps you have removed too much Sony software?
