NO SOund!!

Hi All,

My fiancee adn i both have vaio CR series laptops running vista and we both have the same sound problem with them.

For no reason at all the sound just suddenly stops working, somtimes after being muter and unmuted, sometimes after being woken up from sleep and somethimes for no reason at all.

Sometimes restarting the machine fixes it and sometimes it doesn;t. its getting really annoying.

Seems odd that both laptops have the same problem but I can't find a solution anywhere on the internet.

Any ideas?

welcome to Club VAIO..

Try booting one of your vaio's into safe mode, do you get sound.?

To boot into safe mode start your vaio and when you see the Vaio logo press the F8 key repeatedly..

What CR model do you have and have you recently updated to Vista SP1.?
