No Sound with Battery Power

When i turn on my VAIO PC using the battery only, i get no sound at all - this includes media files on my pc, internet videos and audios. I have to shut down and plug the AC power adapter and restart the pc before the sound can be heard. And if i remove the AC power adapter again, and i go on to access any audio files on my pc and internet, or even Skype calls, i hear no sound again. Any help please?

Am using the VAIO CR-Series with Windows Vista Business. Thanks all.

Hi,

Check the 'power save mode' you have selected when on battery using the 'Windows Mobility Centre' icon in control panel.

Power Saver option when on battery can turn off multimedia etc, try the balanced setting when on battery.

You can edit the different settings using Power Options icon again in control panel to turn on and off different window parts to conserve battery life.

Good luck.
