Windows Vista Crashes with Pioneer LCD - Help!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a Sony Vaio media center (VGX-XL302 CEK) with blue ray drive. I had it connected to a 20' LCD TV via HDMI which was fine.
However, I upgraded to a new Pioneer KRL-46v LCD HD tv and when I connect this via HDMI to view windows (and hopefully HD movies) it crashes windows to a blue screen every time. Since it is under warranty, I have had the PC sent back to Sony twice, but they say there is nothing wrong with it. I have tried changing the output resolution on Vista but this has no effect. The LCD receives other inputs (DVD/FreesatHD) no problem. I've tested different HDMI sockets and cables. All my drivers appear to be up to date.
Any suggestions?

hmm, is there no other connection options? I see it has S-Video and composite, have you tried these. What error message do you get when it BSOD? Can you boot into Vista Safemode?
It maybe something to do with the HDCP handshake.

I will have to resort the alternative input.
It seems to alternate between 'Bad Pool Header' and 'Page Fault in nonpaged area'. See attached images (I hope).
I did once get safe mode up on the Pioneer but not since.
Thanks

Unbelievable
I also have a VGX XL 302 that worked fine with my Toshiba 46ZF355DB. Had to replace TV when it went faulty but no longer available so went for the Pioneer KRL-46V.
Exact same stop screens 0x00000050 and occaisional 0x00000019. I replaced the graphics card for ATI HD3450 and all OK but Bluray playback stuttery. Sent the PC back to Sony with origional graphics card and they replaced the mother board??? Fault still present. Pc boots up fine in safe mode with origional card (Nvidia 7600GTL) but as soon as I start the display driver PC crashes again.
Tried with friends TV (Sony KDL46Z4500) No problems.
Seems to be some sort of compatability issue between this particular TV and Graphics Card. Did you ever resolve your problem
