Burning DVD

I have a VGC-LT1M all in one media pc. I have been able to succesfully record TV in Media centre. I cannot burn the dics from media centre or windows dvd maker to watch on my dvd.

my dvd writer drive is meant to take dvd + or - R.

I have tried to burn discs that been formatted and some that haven't some have been -R and some +R

I have formatted some as "live files" and some "mastered".

It always starts the burn but after 5 mins says that the burn has failed and does not give a reason.

is it possible to copy your recorded TV onto a DVD and play on a dvd player? If so what discs should I use and should I format them first

Have a look here to wsee if anything helps: -

Have a look through the FAQs for types of disc etc.

Thanks - I have had a look at this before and been out today to buy some sony dvds in case it was a problem with the discs but I think it is a problem with WMC on vista.
