Can the phone get virus if the pc you connect it with usb cable has virus? Becose flash sticks get virus from pc and those small usb things get virus from pc can sony xperia M2 get?

Any Android device can be infected with different kind of viruses. But you can install an antivirus like for example AVG.

Ordinary PC viruses won't infect Android OS, the latter is linux-based.

If your Pc has an Android designed virus then you'll not know as a Pc AV isn't able to detect those type of Virus strings however the best free AV for a phone is Avast which comes 3rd in bench test slightly better is Kapersky paid version which is 2nd and surprisingly a China based AV is ever so slightly better
