I recently bought the reader prs-650. I connected it to my iMac via usb.
At first everything was ok. I saw the reader icon in the reader library on the computer. Downloaded some books and shifted them to the library of the prs-650. I did this several times without any problems.
Yesterday iI connected again to the iMac but this time I saw only the reader icon but with the word "Fout" (dutch word for fault, I am using the Dutch version). See picture below.
A reset did not help.Nor did a new install of reader library.
So who can help me?

Hello all
I was experiencing problems with ERROR showing in the Reader software instead of my Reader (this was after OSX Lion was installed on my Mac) and i had syncing problems.
But, yesterday, I managed to sort it out.
Sony appear to have recently released new Reader software for both Mac and PC.

I downloaded it yesterday (22nd Sept) and it works a treat!
My Mac now recognises my PRS300 (without the need to boot as 32bit) and the problem I was having with syncing that kept freezing is resolved. Good news!
The solution comes just in time for me to pass my PRS300 onto the wife when I get the new model reader on 19th Oct.
hope the above link helps.

The same thing happens with my PC and PRS-350.
I was advised to do a hard reset of the Sony reader, which I've now done three times (there's a post in this forum describing the process, which works for PRS-650 & PRS-350). It worked, but I wouldn't like to have to do it again, as it wipes all of the books from the ereader.
