PR650 - transferring files from the reader to pc

Does anyone know how I can get the books off my reader and back into the library on my pc? I don't want books I've read cluttering up my reader but I can't seem to move them back to the pc. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Itester,

It should be possible to simply do a drag and drop operation in reverse.  In other words, click on the Reader icon in the left hand menu of the Reader Library software (which displays the content of your Reader) and then drag and drop the eBooks you want to transfer to the Library icon in the left hand menu - that should be it.  The only thing to bear in mind is that if any of the books are copyrighted (purchased eBooks) you will need to make sure that you use the same Adobe ID to authorise the computer as you did to authorise the Reader itself - that way you will esnure that it will be possible to view the eBooks successfully on both the Reader and the PC.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Itester

Don't know why you'd want to do this. The books are stored on your PC already.

Check this out carefully to ensure you are able to read the book on the PC first!

Open reader Library.

Click on the triangle next to Library and then click on Books. This will bring up a list of books stored on your PC.

Double click on one of the books cluttering up your E-reader and it will open for you to read on the PC.

If you can do this, then you have a copy stored on PC, so to tidy up your E-Reader just delete the book from the E-Reader.

Hope this helps

My books are not on my pc - that is the problem. We upgraded to Windows 7 and in the transition lost my books. Therefore I want to transfer them back to the pc. So, no, when I open my library on the pc the books are not there.
