I've got a PRS350 with around 200 books loaded. A recent virus forced me to re-install the operating system at the cost of all my files and documents, including my library and copies of all my e-books. How can I copy the books back to the PC from the reader as all it seems to want to let me do is delete them and I don't want to do that. At the same time I don't want to be forced to carry them all on the reader forever and a day. If I read a book at home it goes on the bookshelf so why can't I seem to put a book back on the PC from the reader? Sync only seems to work one way copying books from PC to reader.
In short.... can I copy or backup reader content to the PC?

HI and apologies fore the delay, been working away. Yes, that helped and problem sorted now. Many thanks
Hi Cornet002,
The short answer is yes you can.
What you would need to do though is use the drag and drop process to transfer the eBooks. So, connect your PRS350 to your computer, open Reader Library and then select 'Reader' in the left hand menu. This will display the books stored on your PRS350. Then click on a book that you want to put back on to your computer and drag it to 'Library' in the left hand menu and drop it there. That's it, the book will be back in your computer library.
The only thing to beware of, is that if the eBook that you are copying back is a purchased eBook (in other words a copyright protected book), then you will not be able to view it unless your computer has been authorised again for Adobe Digital Editions. (I'm assuming your computer's authorisation state will have been cleared when you had to re-install the operating system).
If you try to view the book on your computer, if it is not authorised you should automatically get a prompt saying that you need to authorise the computer to view this content. It's imperative that you use the same Adobe ID (usually an e-mail address) and password as before otherwise you will still not be able to successfully view the eBooks content. But, as long as you use the same details to re-authorise you should have no problems.
Hope that helps.
