Hi rotonki,

Forgive me if this is not exactly a direct answer to your question, but have you tried doing a normal drag and drop to transfer to your Reader?

The reason that I suggest this, and it's just a personal thing for me really, but my logic is that unlike other devices (like MP3 players for example where there are potentially lots of MP3 files that I may want to transfer each time I connect it to my PC), I've found that with my Reader I don't really need to connect it to my PC all that often.  Usually it's only after I've just bought a new eBook in which case I might have as little as just one file to transfer.  Consequently, I don't bother with the sync feature as I figure that it probably has to compare the libraries on both devices to determine any differences before it can locate and transfer any new files:smileyconfused:, which I assume must take more time than just going to the book I want (that I have probably just bought) and drag and drop it over, which takes a matter of seconds to complete.

I realise this is a very slightly more manual process, but for me going to the 'purchased' folder under 'Library' allows me to find the book I want really quickly and the drag and drop is done in a moment.  I can quickly confirm the eBook has transferred by clicking on the 'Status' icon.  As I say, this works for me, and hope it may help you out, but I can see this would depend on the size of your library and how frequently you transfer large numbers of book files.

First : have you got the latest Reader Library? I've only just purchased my reader and the version is 3.3.00.07130.

Second : I agree with Drumzman that drag and drop seems to work best.

If you do have more than one item to drag across, all the usual Windows selection methods work for selecting a number of items in Reader Library. You can then drag and drop all of the selected items on to the Reader in one go.

Selection methods are :-

Left click to select one item.

Ctrl + left click to select an additional, non contiguous item

Ctrl + Shift to select everything between a selected item and where the cursor is now.

Any combination of these works.

Hope this helps

drag and drop has always worked  ok its just that when the reader libray  tries to sync its self when the book reader  is conected  the sync itself freezes usualy what looks like the first book. Ive manually deleted the first book but the same happened with the new first book. thanks for the advice any way

Hi rotonki,

Glad that the drag and drop is working OK at least.  If you're happy with that method you could always switch off the auto sync to prevent ay further freezing up.  Once your Reader is connected, open the sub-menu below Reader in the left hand menu (by clicking on the small triangle to th left of the Reader icon) and select 'Sync' and then make sure that all the boxes are unchecked.  Might be worth doing to avoid further issues - hope hat helps.
