I recently bought the new Xperia 1 III, which im very happy with, EXCEPT it does not connect to my DJI controller for my drone.
It works flawlessly with my old phone (Xiaomi Pocophone - when first plugging in the cable i got a pop-up etc), but when i plug in the USB cable in my Xperia nothing happens (except that the Xperia's amber notifications light goes on, and the phone seems to be charging).
I have tried messing with the USB settings, turning on USB debugging, changing default USB connection setting, etc, but with no luck!
If it works with an old budget phone i'm sure there is a way to get it to work with a brand new flagship phone....?
HELP!
I know my inspire 2, phantom 4 and Mavic air all connect to my Xperia 1ii with zero issues so I'm not sure what could possibly cause this.
I would suggest trying different cables and options in developer mode but as I don't have the 1iii I can't help with the testing myself.
Thank you for your input!
I have tried 2 different cables with no luck.
Since the phone starts charging when plugged into the controller, and the cables work with a different phone, the cables seems to be working. But i will try additional cables just to make sure.
I have gone through dev mode and tried different USB settings (although they should not make any difference) with no luck.
Did you try to test the phone using USB connection with another device?
Like laptop for example
Yes, the phone works well both connected to my computer (file transfer) as well as connected to my car (android auto).
Ive just got my x1iii yesterday, so will test this tonight on my inspire 2.
Can you confirm which DJI app you're not able to connect to?
(I know some mavics use the new one)
I tested using DJI go4 last night and found no issue connecting my front controller to the 1iii.
upon powering on the controller I selected always allow, then ok
the splash screen then showed up and I could enter device control.
then the correct display popped up as expected.
I assume you may be having issues with the Mavic app.
Unfortunately I don't have a device that uses that app so I I can't test further.
I'm not getting any pop up what so ever when i plug in the controller.
It just starts to charge.... 😑
What firmware on the phone are you running?
Is it also DJI go4?
Have you tried a usb 3 data (blue end) cable?
I'm sure we can get you flying on this phone 👍
It's not the same app. Mine is called DJI Fly.
But i should probably still get a pop-up regarding the usb-connection right?
I'm running the latest firmware/software on both controller and phone (61.0.A.11.92 release-keys).
