The phone is mounted in my car and the phone is PERFECTLY STILL. Still the video image is yanked sideways, by the software, I presume. I tried different settings without any luck. The phone is a Sony Xperia ZR (C5503) version 10.31.A.2.67 (Android 4.2.2). Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Am I doing something wrong?
I haven't seen anything like this before. I suggest that you try with the image stabilizer both on and off for the video camera. Also try to change the focus mode to see if it gets any better.

In the upper right corner there is a glimpse of something inside the car which is out of focus. The rear view mirror? This clearly moves in and out of the picture frame. Are you sure that the phone is 100% fixed in its holder?
Now I finally found the image stabilizer setting. It wasn't clear to me that Settings menu was scrollable. The scrollbar only appears when I actually scroll. It should be visible at all times to show there's more. I'll try again without stabilization.
