Xperia z & Facebook uploads

Hi All,

I have an issue with xperia z and Facebook photo uploads.

If i want to upload photo from my album photo would be camera photo i just took for eaxmple, using facebbok for xperia from album it does not work.

Picture goes to upload, and i can see the progress at notification bar, it does report photo has been sucesfully uploaded, but it does not appear in my xperia facebook album.

It has worked only once though, so it is most likely i have changed some setting somewhere, but so far could not figure out what i have done.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

PS love my xperia, went from iPhone 5 to it, could never go back to using half eaten apple product

If the settings has gone wrong just reset the settings. To do that go to your phone Settings > Apps > All and select Facebook. Click  "Force stop" and "Clear data". After that just run your Facebook and follow the instructions to setup yor account.

hey mate. i faced a similar issue before- seems to occur when facebook updated their android app.

i would recommend what Zann proposed above. As what occurs is you will resetup your facebook account. Additionally, do check that your facebook Xperia Album is not set to private or something.

Thank you for your suggestions, i have reset the settings, and album is set to public, in fact i have also enebled all sync options that i can find in relation to sharing the photos, but it is still not working.

Any more suggestions?

hmm.. another thing you could try is to run the setup guide again? it should prompt to link to facebook for xperia.

Did that couple of times, tried it again now, still no change.

I can upload photos from facebook app itself, but not from facebook for xperia, conflict of some kind maybe?

Ok, i did little more digging, but this time on the facebook side through my PC.

This is not issue with the phone as such i think. Photos i have uploaded did infact get to my facebook, but facebook is recognizing them as upload through different application and blocks them untill i have clicked approve option, looking for an option to have photos automatically approved when using xperia, that should solve the problem, if the way i am thinking about this is correct though

It looks like i have it fixed.

It was not Xperia phone issue, it was facebook issue. It looks like latest update has changed privacy settings. I had to go into my facebook apps settings and set who can see the album, now photos do upload into my xperia album, and appear on the timeline as well.

Hi.. Just go to facebook setting,app setting, then turn off platform. And then go to your photo album, select you want to share through Xperia with facebook, the dialog will show,confirm it, check it, and try it now. Good luck...B-)
