Waterproof notification!?

Hey! I bought my new telephone a couple of days ago and noticed a new thing that has never been shown before and I don't know if it came with the latest update. At start a warning notice says that I've got to close all the external connector covers to secure waterproofness even though they are already shut. Is this just a "reminder" or is my phone not waterproof? Hope for an answer!
