Videos and movies not loading in Z Ultra's Movie app

Hi, I'm experiencing a problem that video and movie files copied to the SD card of my Z Ultra are NOT loading into the Movie app - even after I clear the App Data of "Media Storage" to force it to reload. Strangely, video/movie files stored in the Internal Storage of the phone are able to load into the Movie app - it's only limited to files stored on SD card... Also, the Album and Walkman apps can load pictures/music files stored on SD card without any problem. So it is really only video/movie files which can't load.

Grateful if anyone knows how to resolve this problem.

Use a file manager (OI File Manager) look for the video files > tap to open them > Do you get an error?

No, no error. The video can be played. But the My Collection in Movie app is still blank.

Hi Buddy,

There must be a .nomedia file somewhere in your sd card where your movies are located. You can just delete it and *poof* everything will work just fine.

Thank you, I was unable to find the .nomedia file but here I have figured out a fix - in my phone, go to the File Commander app, create a new folder in the same SD card called something like "Video 2" or whatever, then move all the video files to that folder... and then the Movie app immediately loaded those videos 😃
