i do not get any signal that i have a new textmessage. it does not sound or vibrate and the textmessage icon in  the topleft off the phone does not appear as well.

open the messaging app > menu > settings > notification settings

thanks for your replay. it is as it should be.

it always worked until 2 days ago. sudently it stop work.

Its probably an app acting up, do you have a thirdparty notification app ?

If you boot in safe mode,how does it work?

I have had the same issue and have even tried the message settings in safe mode but no joy.

But after a while I put the message tone check box and also the notification light check box on and this seem to work
