Set song as ringtone?

Hello I have a question with my smartphone, see if you can help me.
I bought a sony xperia z1 and not get put as ringtone song in mp3.
I'll call settings / tone of mobile and complete the action with solid explorer (since it is the only browser I get here from the three I have installed in sound selector and internal storage only leave me tone) I look for I confirm MP3 and then the tone makes me none. Upon receiving the call actually does not sound.
I get the same result if I'm going to sound rather than call settings.
I do not care to have them recorded on the SD card to internal memory.
In the sony xperia S my wife I have no problem with this issue, even testing the same songs that I have in the xperia z1.
I have also looked at the terminal user's guide and Section ringtone not comment any power not put or songs.
I find it strange that this mobile only supports tones, so do not know if I have to have the files in a default folder or in a format diferente.podéis tell if you know something about the subject, thank you very much

How about 

Walkman > look for the song > long press the song > set as ringtone
