Phone zooms in and out uncontrollably

My phone zooms in and out by itself. The only way to stop it is to turn it off. Sometimes that does not work.

Also, when dialing a phone number, it will dial random numbers by itself.

How can I stop this?

The phone is only 3 months old and it has the latest updated software.

Any help would be great.

Do you have a screen protector applied?

Sounds like you may have a 3rd party screen protector causing the problem just like Alexdon was saying. 

In case you haven't, try to start your phone in safe mode to see if the behavior may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

No screen protector has been applied. It could be a third party app.

Have you tried safe mode?If working fine,you have an app acting up.
