Phone Goes to Safe Mode

Hi,

I have Xperia Z1 and recently i have restore my phone to default setting and since then it has been going to Safe mode. It keeps showing Safe mode. Even when i restart it still goes to Safe mode.

I have used my phone in water lately but it has been okie, only keeps restarting, but after factory default setting the problem does not happen anymore. Now only problem is the safe mode there.

Can you help urgent

       you can try this

>turn off your phone, press and hold the volume up button for few seconds

>you can feel few vibrations on phone, then press power button (its again safe mode, but try this ), once you see sony on screen let go the buttons

>select appropriate options using volume up and down button and restart it, try to do this using connecting to computer

It sounds like your volume down button may be pressed in. Because if you start your phone while press and hold the volume down button the phone will start in safe mode. 

You can try to make a factory reset or repair the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phones software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone".

Hi ManjuBoyz:- I tried using the option you provided. but noting happens when pressing the volume up button. I pressed for a very long time, no response from the phone. It only vibrates once i press the power button.

I tried connecting to the PC and doing this but still no difference. Any other method I can try ?

Xperia Team:- I tried using the option to repair the xperia following the instruction provided. the firmware was updated successfully. When i restarted my phone again it went back to Safe Mode.

I am puzzle as per why is going to safe mode. Anything else that i can try and do ?

What instigate the Z1 software to go to safe mode ? Wondering ? What is the criteria normally ? Is it due to harware failure ?

in safe mode all the function of the phone works as it suppose to be, without any problem. All buttons are working, only problem is going safe mode and i cant install any application from google Store.

Appreciate your help and tips guys. Please do advice what else i can do. Thanks

I think you have a defective volume down button,taking you directly to safe mode when booting.

indeed you are right, i just notice my volumen down key is defective and that explains why it takes me to the safe mode.

but how can i get the key working.

I am not sure what happen. The phone did touch the water and after that it had all thisproblem. but what is the best way to fix the volume down button ? or skip the safe mode ?

Do i need to root my Xperia OS version ?

No,you should visit a sony service,maybe they will take a look and repair your button.
