No data for Z1 C6903 on AT&T

I just received my Z1 today and got a SIM from AT&T for my account. Cellular works perfectly fine as does WIFI but I cannot get any data transfer at all. I understand LTE may not work for me but I cannot get the 3G/4G connection that others seem to have success with.

How do I set the phone up for data access (mobile data's toggled on)?

I have the same phone with AT&T 

You will get 4G in certain areas and H+ in others 

Settings > more > mobile networks > access point names > menu > add New

Name AT&T Phone

APN phone 

MMSC http://mmsc.mobile.att.net

MMS proxy   proxy.mobile.att.net

MMS port  80

MCC 410

Authentication type: none

APN type    mms,default,supl

APN protocol IPv4

Bearer   Unspecified

Menu > save

Thanks for the reply – sorry, forgot to mention I've added a few different APNs to no avail. Pretty close to dropping it off at the AT&T store.

If that doesn't work for you then there are 2 possible reasons

1. you have an old SIM card

2. AT&T has to add your IMEI number to their data base, or grant you 4G access

Thanks again - will assume it's #2 though they did that at the store and checked again this evening. I'll take it back into the store tomorrow and see if there's a typo, etc.

you should just get a new SIM card, just in case

Took it back to the store this morning and after about 30min of messing around with it, they found out they needed to add the cingular wap APN to the phone. Not sure why it was needed for me and not others but I've got data now.
