Lost Chrome icon on home screen

I was actively using Chrome when it automatically updated. All of a sudden the Chrome icon disappeared, and obviously there's no way to drag it back to that location, which is not modifiable by the end user. Restarting didn't help. How do I get it back and fill the gaping hole in my home screen?

Hello!

I had the same problem, here's how I solved it:

- First do what the previous user said: tap and hold over the home screen.

- Tap on "apps", then tap and drag the Chrome icon to the main window panel above.

- Once you've done that, on the home screen, tap and hold the chrome icon, a green square should appear below it, drag to the main icons line at the bottom, which is, I understand, the issue you were having.

Cheers

Hi there,

Long press your home screen > Tap on the app icon below > Then find and select Chrome.

Cheers.

Yes, thanks. I didn't realize I had to drop it first anywhere on a home screen, then relocate it to the "permanent" bottom row. Thanks a lot.
