Interesting perspective on the Z

Most people believe that the Experia Z was released to be the flagship 2013 offering from Sony to compete with the later released Samsung S4

That in my opinion is now very doubtfull - the Z is what it is but recent rumours from the net have indicated that Sony is about to release the mother of all smart phones within Months - code named "Honami" if current speculation rings true the it will sport some pretty ground breaking technology never seen or imagined in the mobile arena - do a few searches for some snippets on this inovative secret project

if all of this is true

-camera 20mp cybershot and exmor sensor with zenon flash

-processor snapdragon 800 2.3 ghz

-amplifier for walkman

-new screen trilumionons not tft

-water and dust resistant

it will be like a hurricane which destroy every mobile in world

and will be the best phone in 2013 really

it will be so expensive but better than anything in world

If I'm honest, I hope they don't release it for some time.

Sony will of released 3 flagship phones in the space of approx 12 months (T, Z and this one)

Most other OEM have 1 phone per approx 12 months (with the odd exception here or there)

Sony seem to churn them out constantly, drop support rather quickly (or provide VERY slow support) and then claim their new phone is 'the best of Sony' only for 'the best of sony' to be replaced a few months later.

The tech world moves fast I'll admit but the rate they release new 'flagships' is insane. They need to slow down, really make the 'best of' and provide excellent support for more than 12 months.

Plus. "the best of Sony" in january, will not be the best any more in June. That's just how fast technology is moving.

Problem is, they did try with only 1 flagship per year and it doesn't work. They're still trying to catch up to current leads and they're definately improving. With Honami, that might just happen. We all want them to suceed. We all want to have a Sony phone that makes other phone owners envy. And we know Sony can do it. They just need to put their act together and shut everyone else up.

I'm sure a lot of people would prefer quicker updates and better long term support over their £500 phone being replaced after 4 months...

I only hope it will be covered with glas from both sides and that shatter proof film will not get scratch as fast as Xperia Z one. They should also add this film with oleophobic feature.
The device is going to be awesome, since Z I cannot imagine shamesung plastic-fantastic toys, but cannot imagine plastic in Xperia flagship as well

+ stereo speakers would be welcomed, as it is going to be water proof, only one speaker again will be too quiet.

I've been suggesting/posting for many years now that Sony should use carbon fiber or at least recycled carbon fiber instead of plastic, the Xperia Z will be a lot thinner if they did and the camera sensor, excellent, it seems that Sony is realizing that they need to use all their technology innovations to crush other OEMs.

now I hope this is a Phone and not a walkman, I don't know if any of you remember that when the Arc was released Sony released a walkman that it seemed quite promising on paper but it ended up being just a walkman player not a phone.

I wonder if it is possible to use storage format that will allow to play mkv movies with AC3 sound that are bigger tnan 4GB in size But, this only Sony knows.
