Default Youtube app stops streaming midway

After the new update .244, my default youtube app stops streaming midway i.e. after about 2 minutes of streaming any length of video.... and it never resumes..... shows youtube app not responding.....it is not one time issue, but each and everytime it happens.....and there is no problem with my wifi or mobile network absolutely....

whereas when i try the m.youtube through chrome, it works fine without stopping... but it doesn't play in full screen...and ofcourse the quality is not good as well.... i was really enjoying my default youtube app since it was in high quality and full screen....  i even tried factory resetting.....updating youtube to the latest version....etc..,,, but this problem doesn't seem to stop....

All of a sudden i have a new issue with my youtube app.... apart from sudden stopping of streaming videos before 2 minutes now the screen also goes blank completely.....which doesn't get on for about half an hour,  once the screen wakes up, it shows the message that youtube app not responding, do u want to close it......

is there really any solution for this or not..... I do not have Sony service centre in the country where i m residing to  take it to them....

If turning off the firewall doesn't help there's no need to open any ports.

Does this happen if you try the phone on another WiFi-network?

I don't think this has to do with the phone or its firmware. There's however been an update to the YouTube-app by Google. If you haven't installed the latest version from Google Play, try that and see if it helps. If you have the latest version, try uninstalling it from Settings -> Apps -> YouTube -> Uninstall updates.

Thanks Mr Rickard for the suggestions.. But unfortunately the problem appeared even on other wifi.... Even updating and uninstalling didn't help me....looks to be a problem with the built in youtube app...do not really know how to solve this....

If you don't have any other problems when using WiFi in the phone i don't think there's much else to do but to use the browser until a new update is available but try downloading a big file using WiFi just to make sure there's nothing wrong with the phone.

Thanks Rickard. The new update solved my problem at last.
