I just wanted to share my last experience with the Xperia Xz. I know, these Forums are mainly used to complain about mistakes the phones have and you can be sure, I could also agree to some other posts here which mention several bugs which exsist.
But my experience from yesterday are to cool not to share them.
At the moment I am on vacation in Portugal. Yesterday me and my girlfriend were sitting on the waterfront of Lisboa, enjoying some cocktails. Then, I can not remember how exactly (maybe to many Cocktails) I lost my xperia and it slided directly into the sea. Not reachable for us. We were both pretty sure that I won't see the Phone, with over 300 pics just from the actual holiday, anmore. I tried to call my phone, just to check whether I see A light in the sea but the Mailbox was on immedeatly.
In very sad mood we went for dinner, I was already planing how to manage my stuff without my phone.
Then the amazing happended... After A sencond try of calling my phone (more or less as a joke), my girlfriends phone get a message, that the requested Person (me) is availabe again. We called A third time and this time no Mailbox answered, it was ringing. With my girlfriends phone I went to the place I lost mine and guess what, there was my phone laying between seawheat and stones on the ground, which was now reachable because of the low tide which was now at that place.
So the Xperia layed nearly 3 hours in the sea and called me when the water was gone.... With full functunality. I cleaned it from the Salt water and everything was fine. All pics from the holidays are back in our Hands, the holidays itself saved from a big loss.
So, thank you Sony for really making the phone water resestant 🙂
I don't want to sound like a Sony salesmen but this was really impressing to me.
