Stuttering on the whole system (unsmooth)

There is some stuttering going on while scrolling. I don't know why, but it didn't happen on my Z5.

I don't have a camera which is good enough to show it but I will try to give you some examples.

Swiping to the left and right in the launcher (even the loops wallpaper when scrolling) does some stutter and so it does in the app drawer. Scrolling in Chrome (actually everywhere where you can scroll) too. Help... This is really annoying. It feels like the whole system doesn't perform smooth. I tried everything from decreasing the animations, transitions e.g.

Stamina isn't on either. RAM is okay, still have more than one GB left. Got this phone 4 days ago... Slightly_frowning_Face

Does anybody have the same problem?

It is still there with the lowest brightness.

Try running it in safe mode first. If it still stutters then try a software repair using the Xperia companion, or a factory reset. Both of the last options will mean losing any personal setup information... taking it back to the way it was out of the box. Some will say that doing the repair is better than doing the reset. I am not sure about that because it basically does the same thing. I think maybe the repair actually "repairs" or installs the OS from scratch whereas the reset uses what is already on the phone.

May someone with more information reply as to the difference between the two??

Thanks!

Just to recap: I did a repair with Xperia Companion. It is still stuttering.

In safe mode it is too (if not a little less).

I guess it has something to do with the governor... It really needs to be optimized. Slightly_frowning_Face

I'm fairly sure that the software repair via Xperia Companion downloads software before installing it, in order to make sure that you're not just resetting a corrupted software install.

It's like having stamina mode on but far less heavy. 😕
