Screen Protector affects xz battery juice consumption
Hello guys, how many of you are using the temperred glass cover on your unit. Did it have an impact on the speed your battery needs to be recharged..?

One of my XZ has a protector, one does not.
I have no reason to think the one with a protector has any different battery life.....
...as you'd expect because how on earth does a screen protector use more power? Really struggling to understand this one tbh.
The only thing I can think of is that people increase brightness to compensate for the 0.1% less brightness other than that the idea is stretching it to say the least

I can understand if you said that the screen protector is consuming your phone's positive energy, but consuming its "battery juice" that I'd never understand

There is definitely something going on with the screen when protected.
I use the original cover and had high drainage on the batt.
After a clean install it improved but can't update to 7.1.1 anymore.
Have now turned everything off.. Double tap, glove mode e.d.. I can now get through a day.. Barely..

@trashcan wrote:As it had a screen protector on the display already . It's late to verify by peeling it off. I just wanted to know if somebody here had similar experience with their XZ. If they can confirm it really did, then I will remove it. BTW.. What kind of Gorilla glass does xz have..?
Thanks for your comments..
The XZ has Gorilla glass 4 on it.
