On screen search icon removal

Since updating I now have a 🔎 on my screen I wish to remove. How do I get rid of it?

Is this on your homescreen or in the apps screen?

If it's on your home screen, you can tap and hold any app or widget and drag it to the bin at the top to remove it.

If you mean the search in the apps screen, this is not removable.
