Notification profiles self changing.

So I've had my xz premium a couple weeks now. And it is getting increasingly frustrating to use this phone.

First I find that small apps has been removed. That was so useful for screenshotting nice and quick. I understand that is Googles error apparently.

Then the touch screen sometimes just doesn't respond until 3/4 touches of the screen.

The device loves to get quote hot, something that my last 4 Sony phones have done too.

But now, it keeps changing its volume. I'll put it on do not disturb, and within a few minutes it has gone back to loud. I'll have it on vibrate, then within a few minutes it's back on loud.

I don't have any profiles set up, it just has a mind of its own.

Bitterly regret getting this phone now.

It happens after you restore your apps, so it's one of them acting up. The only way (which is quite tedious) is to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will do a clean installation of the latest firmware and will also wipe your internal memory. Don't forget to backup using Xperia Companion, but without adding apps or settings to the backup.

After that, restore your apps one by one, testing if the issue happens in between. Once you observe the issue again, confirm by uninstalling that app and re-test.

Kindly post the name of the app here in case you managed to figure it out.

Thanks it worked this time.

And after installing only a few apps every day i figured out which one caused the problem:

Restaurauntfinder !!!! I tested it a few times by reinstalling, the problem occured minutes after.

Maybe I can help someone else with that information.

It's strange that this app can change volume on my phone!? It has only permission location....

Thanks again!

Great to hear that you figured out what was causing all these anomalies. Some apps are just bad-coded that they will interfere with basic phone operations.
