unable to register my product

Can't register my new WH-1000 XM5 noise cancelling headphones. Seems quite a few people have this problem.

 

No contact number to call. Really Sony? Customer support?

 

I see an earlier post about this subject had a workaround "solution" but  I couldn't follow it.

 

Does anyone from Sony IT read these posts?
