Can anyone advise on the format for using the printscreen on my laptop, please?...

Hi Sixthsense and welcome to Club Vaio.

What exactly are you trying to do?

To print from the screen: -
1. press Ctrl + Prt Scr to copy full screen or Alt + Prt Scr to copy the active window only
2. Open C:\All Programs\Accessories\Paint (or open Word at a blank new document & set Portrait or Landscape))
3. Choose Edit -> Paste

You can also use Vista's Snipping Tool to capture a screen or area of..

If you are unsure how to do this..

Go to Start, all programs

Browse to Accessories and click on Snipping Tool.

Once the snipping tool has opened drag the + over the image you wish to capture.

Once happy with the image click on Save and select the destination folder you wish to save your image to, then click save.
