VGN-AR71M Trouble with BC5500A drive

I went to open the cd/dvd/bluray and it said that 'cannot open tray of optical drive so popke a paper clip in (which works) In device manager it says this cannot start (code 10) please refer to manufacturer. I have tried unbinstalling etc with no luck. (Brand new computer vista home)

As removing your CD/DVD from device manger and then re-installing has not solved the 'Code 10' problem then it's possibly hardware related..
