VGC V2s CD rom not working

Hi all. I've been trying to burn cd's, audio and video, but my cd rom just makes a whiring and clicking noise.
If it can't be fixed is it possible to replace the cd rom with a new one.

Are there any warnings or error codes shown against the drive in Device Manager?
