very sick vgn series no boot

hi i need some help from you guys and girls
i have a vgn215z and it wont boot up
the green power light is on but no screen or no hard drive light flickering
can you help? i have tried removing the battery and using the ac adapter but still no go

Try this...

Unplug the power supply and remove the cable and all connected devices from your Vaio, then remove the battery.

Once done press and hold down power button for a full 30 seconds, then replace the battery and then plug in power cord. Once completed turn the laptop on..
