Sony VGN-SZ3XWP/C info needed

Hi I have a sony vgn_sz3xwp/c and it ony has a 100GB hard drive. I have a dual boot with Vista and XP. I would like to increase my hard drive but not sure if that can be done.
If it could can someone let me know what hard drives are compatible with this laptop? I am looking for a 320GB or any higher Hardrive. 500GB would be great.

Hi sweet_yus and welcome to Club Vaio.

The good news is that any 2.5 inch SATA drive should be compatible as long as it is not more than 9.5mm thick. Some 500GB discs are 12.5mm thick and will not fit - check Hitachi and Fujitsu drives carefully .

You should be fine with something like this one: -

The bad news is that you need to remove the keyboard and the palmrest to get at the hard drive which is quite major surgery. If you want any instructions, send me your email address by PM (the manual is 3MB and too large to attach here).
