Sony Vaio Screen

Hiya,

I have had a Sony Vaio AR71M for a couple of months,

I was wondering whether this is normal on the screen, i only realised it yesterday, i not to sure whether it was there before.

I only noticed it on the Vista Log-In screen, and doesnt affect my activites whilst using my vaio. Would you suggest i contact Sony or leave it?

Hi pradeepmistry and welcome.

Do you have an external monitor you can connect to? Does this happen on that?

What nVidia driver version do you have installed? Have you tried reinstalling the driver or installing a more modern one?

If an external monitor is OK it points toward a LCD hardware fault and I would contact Sony.

If the same problem shows on an external screen, then try another video driver first as the problem could be either software or a GPU hardware fault. It could also be a corrupt wallpaper file - so try another wallpaper.
