sony vaio ar series dvd drive upgrade

I would like to change the dvd drive in my vaio ar11s for a optiarc blueray player. I cannot find whether it should be a SATA or IDE connection can anyone advise me please?

welcome to club VAIO..

do you currently have the Matshita BD-MLT UJ-210 (re branded Panasonic) in your AR if so as far as I am aware it's an IDE interface.
