Re-install WinDVD BD
Hi,
Is there any way of re-intallingg WinDVD BD without using the VAIO Recovery Centre? I have tried the Recovery Centre but Win DVD BD is not on the list of programs that I can re-install. The lady at VAIO Link said the only way of doing it is to do a full system recovery - this would be a nightmare
I am assuming that the install files must be somewhere within the hard drive recovery area - but where do I look/extract them from if it is at all possible?
Any help would mbe really appreciated.

Hi Thalamus,
Thanks for your reply - wasn't the reply I was hoping for but that's life and my own fault
I have just bought an AR51SU.
I was having an issue with blu-ray playback on my TV which I think I have solved (need to have the display just on the TV and not on the laptop as well), but in my hast I un-installed WindDVD BD in order to install a trial version of Win DVD 9 Plus Bluray. Two things I have learned 1) Don't do things in a rush 2) Always check the trial you download will actually play Bluray (Win DVD 9 Trial doesn't!!)
Oh well looks like a loooooong night ahead.
Cheers

Hi Thalamus,
I know this issue was some time ago but I have unfortunately done the same thing and deleted the WinDVD BD software. I saw that you had sent a private message regarding this issue and wanted to know if there would be a was of reinstalling the application without doing a full system recovery . I still have an issue which still hasn't been resolved. I was trying to solve the problem of my laptop not playing CD's anymore and thought that the issue was to do with WinDVD BD as it was a DVD I was trying to watch . . . As I have now realised this was a crazy thing to do . . . Is there any way around it in order to solve the 2 issues?
