Hi Philgeojac,

Have you checked Device Manager to see whether the Audio Device is installed correctly? You should see Realtek High Definition Audio listed under Sound, Video and Game Controllers, or you may have an unknown device listed.

Either way try installing the Audio Driver 'Vista update' for your machine. This can be downloaded from the following location:
