About 2 years ago I bought a VGN-FE28B Vaio laptop.
It was fine, until about 2 months in, when the AC adaptor (power supply) decided to die on me.
Annoyed, I returned it to the Sony Store and they replaced it which was nice.
However, since that day all that time ago I've never known if they actually gave me the correct one!! (or whether they just gave me whatever they had around in the store- I was happy to get a replacement).
(it has worked and continued to work but lately it has been very tempremental)- so--- I need to find out info about the power supply that originally came with the laptop.
The laptop's manual doesn't say the part number or any specs about it, and sony has long since removed this laptop from it's site as it's from a previous year. A lengthy google has given me no detailed info about the power supply either.
So, I appeal to anyone here in the community who might be able to help.
(as I'm trying to buy a replacement before this completely dies, and i'd rather not have to buy the over-priced sony official model).
For information's sake, here are the specs for the 'replacement' power supply the shop gave me:
Sony AC adaptor
VGP-AC19V12
Output: 19.5V = 4.7A
