FTP!!!!Help!!

Dear friends ....
if someone can help me for notebook Vaio.....I try to download the updates manually ....from Vaio Update Site....but when she directs me to an FTP site my notebook doesn't open it....weird......help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have you tried temporarily disabling your firewall.?

Have you tried downloading the update via VAIO Update, double click the icon, similar to the one , in your system tray to launch the VAIO Update application..
