Fn Key?

Could someone explain what the Fn Key does that is located at the bottom left of my keyboard please?

Hi Judesman,

welcome to Club VAIO..

The Fn key enables you to use the additional model specific keys..

For Example press and hold the Fn key and tap the F5 keys should reduce the brightness on your Vaio's screen..

A full list of the Fn options available on your Vaio should be listed in the users guide..

Thank you Thalamus. I should have looked on the help CD in the first place. Om my ancient VAIO (2002) the FN key works in conjunction with Pg Up/Pg Dn/Home/End/Scrlk.

I should have looked on the help CD in the first place. 

I only mentioned checking your user guide as it should contain a list of Fn key options for your particular vaio..
