Hello,

Iam going to downgrade my Sony VAIO VGN-AW11M/H from windows vista (32bit) to xp (32bit). Iam looking for windows xp drivers.

Where can i find them?

Vista drivers will work to windows xp?

Hi narcotic

I have the same model and I wanted to ask you do you have any problems wiith yours like a sound from the HDD like an errrr? Please let me know because sony says that this is normal.

Thank you

Please help: for me it's impossible to work with vista and I want to downgrade to xp. When I insert my original xp disk, a nice BLUE SCREEN (the computer must shut down to prevent a several error etc) appears. Is someone out there that try to downgrade to xp? Please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone.

Sony do not support XP on any of their consumer models - only on models with Vista business preinstalled.

Consequently there are no driver or utility packs available. You will have to seek out all XP drivers individually (if they exist) from the device manufacturers' websites or occasionally from other model Vaios. Most Vista drivers will not work.

Given time, someone usually unofficially publishes a full set but I have not seen this yet for the AW. Almost certainly you will not get everything to work with XP unless Sony release a XP Utility Pack or someone discovers utilities that partially work.

Personally I would not risk a downgrade until it can be shown that everything will work.

Madisonsdaughter - Google for 'installing XP on a SATA hard drive' - you need to install SATA drivers as XP does not generically support SATA drives. You will need a floppy disc drive or a streamlined installation disc.
